Experimental Planning and Consultation

We routinely work closely with customers to assist in the planning and implementation of novel experimental designs. This includes the building of cranial models and neural target structures in 3D-Slicer and the design and placement of hardware for experimental studies. After the design process, we offer surgical and animal care consultation to ensure the best post operative care and experimental outcome.

3D Slicer Image Processing

We provide curation of MRI and CT scan images to construct skull models and segment brain regions for experimental planning and product design. This approach allows visualization and modification of hardware prior to implantation.

Custom Mechanical Design

We do a wide variety of custom designs to fit experimental requirements.

Machining Services

We machine parts in a variety of metals including aluminum, stainless steel and titanium, as well as MRI compatible materials including PEEK, PEKK, and Ultem. We also fabricate larger polycarbonate or aluminum panels.

3D Printing Services

We routinely print Visijet Clear and Accura Clearvue parts on our 3D Systems Projet 6000 HD. These are biocompatible clear materials printed with 50 micron resolution and ideal for electrode grids and other detailed parts.

We also routinely 3D print ABS, PLA and carbon fiber reinforced filaments on our FDM printer.

Assembly

We assemble custom and stock products, including instruments with special assembly requirements.

Surgical Consultation

We work closely with customers to carefully plan the surgical procedures to insure good outcomes and the best care of the animals.

Sterilization

We can ship many of our products pre-sterilized using hydrogen peroxide gas sterilization or autoclave.
